Travelling to Finland
The holiday cottage is situated in the province South Finland the region is called South Karelia.
By car:
From western Europe you can sail over the Baltic sea with Viking line (through Sweden and than to Finland) the Finnlines ( Travemunde-Helsinki) or Tallink Silja Superfast (Rostock-Helsinki). From Helsinki a 3 hours drive brings you to Taipalsaari.
From Helsinki: Follow the road to Kouvola ( First nr 7 Kotka and then nr 6 Kouvola ) and from Kouvola Lappeenranta still Nr 6 By Lappeenranta follow city centre ( keskusta) and Taipalsaari. after 10 km Hostel Mansikka is indicated. At the ST1 gas station to the right and after 6 km right (Vehkataipale).
Flying to Helsinki:
From Amsterdam with KLM, Finnair or SAS ( Blue 1). Budget flights are also possible with Air Berlin from D�sseldorf. With early booking you can obtain cheap tickets. From Helsinki airport you can hire a car of take the Express bus to Lappeenranta, a fast and comfortable way to travel.
